Year 1 visited Oversley Hill Farm to learn about food, farming and the season of Winter.
We visited the sheep in the field and looked at what they eat and what they provide for us. The hens and the cockerel were noisy and they were kept to provide eggs and chicken. In the cow shed we saw a bull and the cows were expecting calves.
We observed the trees and talked about what happens on the farm during the season of Winter.
Sophie the farmer showed us the grain she grows on the farm and then we used it to make bread. We used milk from the cows to make butter, they were both delicious!
