To mark the feast day of our class saint, St Francis of Assisi we visited Southfields farm in Coleshill.
Farmer John welcomed us and told us all about it is his vocation to work with animals and growing plants and his responsibility to both feed the nation and also care for God’s amazing creation.
We identified different grains and seeds and learned about how Farmer John farms sustainably and we thoroughly enjoyed making flour.
We dipped our nets in the stream to learn about the creatures that live in this habitat.
Farmer John told us all about how he cares for his animals and we helped look after them too. We all learned how we can be Stewards of God’s creation.
