Our Junior PCSOs have been busy learning how to make a positive difference in our school and local community!
During the Autumn term the children in Year 4 met with our Senior PCSOs, who taught them about the police phonetic alphabet and helped them develop their understanding of the important role police officers play in keeping our communities safe. They learned their Junior PCSO pledge and designed parking tickets to help raise awareness of safe and considerate parking.
Putting their learning into action, the children observed parking around our school and offered drivers friendly advice about parking safely and responsibly, helping to keep our school community safe. They also took part in a litter pick in the local area. The children were saddened by the amount of rubbish dropped on our streets and were reminded of the importance of respecting our environment and taking responsibility for our shared spaces. They were also living out Catholic Social Teaching by promoting the Common Good and taking responsibility for caring for our common home.
During our celebration assembly, our Junior PCSOs proudly recited their pledge, promising to continue their important leadership role throughout the year. We are incredibly proud of their enthusiasm, sense of responsibility and commitment to making a difference.
Well done to our Junior PCSOs! We look forward to seeing the positive impact they continue to make this year.
